Last Updated: 27 June 2026
At Claimkit (claimkit.eu), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service, following the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who We Are (Data Controller)
Claimkit is operated by Amit Paul Lakra, located in Eindhoven, Netherlands. You can contact us regarding any privacy concerns at contact@claimkit.eu.
What Data We Collect
When you use Claimkit to generate a warranty letter, we collect only the personal data necessary to provide our service:
- Personal Identification Data: Name, address, email address.
- Claim-Related Data: Retailer name, product name, country of purchase, purchase date, and a description of the fault.
Why We Collect Your Data (Legal Basis)
We collect and process your data based on specific legal grounds:
- Performance of a Contract: We process your name, address, email, and claim-related data to generate your warranty letter and deliver the PDF to you, fulfilling our service agreement.
- Legitimate Interest: We may use your email address to send a reminder on day 14 after your initial claim letter was sent, which is in our legitimate interest to help you pursue your consumer rights, provided this does not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Who We Share Your Data With
To operate Claimkit and provide our service, we share your data with the following third parties:
- Lemon Squeezy: Our payment processor and Merchant of Record. They handle your payment information and applicable EU VAT automatically. Your payment details are processed directly by Lemon Squeezy and are not stored by Claimkit.
- Resend: Used for sending the generated PDF letter to your email address and any subsequent reminder emails.
- Supabase: Our database provider, where your claim data is stored securely. Supabase servers are located in Frankfurt, Germany.
We do not sell your personal data to any third parties.
Data Retention
We retain your claim data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Specifically, your claim data is deleted 90 days after the 14-day deadline expires, giving you sufficient time to follow up on your claim.
